Project 1 : 'Journey of five senses' The Monument
In this introductory project we were to analyse spatial poetics and spatial typologies (linear and concentric) in architecture. 2 precedents were chosen,
one is Pre-modern movement and another Contemporary.
Learning from the design strategies of those precedent, we were to design two Monuments themed ‘Journey of five senses’ for a monument that captures the essence of our “Old Malaysia” and another which captures the essence of our “New Malaysia”. The story of the Monument is translated into a narrative.
